LaTonya Turner is a video journalist, producer, and media consultant who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She has more than 15 years experience in broadcast news, first in her home state of Louisiana and in Nashville for WSMV-TV as a reporter and anchor specializing in consumer, health, and social issues. LaTonya has also hosted public affairs programs on local stations, including WNPT-TV. Her work has won several regional Emmys and been recognized nationally by professional journalists and telecommunications organizations, including the RTDNA Regional Edward R. Murrow Award, National Association of Black Journalists Salute to Excellence Award, and the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) for a historical documentary she produced.
As a volunteer, LaTonya has served on the boards of Nashville Cares, Abintra Montessori School, Circle Players Theater, and Keep Tennessee Beautiful Advisory Council. She is a wife and mother of three children.
